William Bartlett (b. 1960) first came to our attention through the American Artist Magazine's national art competition "Realism Today" in 2000. Bartlett won first place in the still life category, and began showing with the John Pence Gallery shortly thereafter. His work continues to impress, and he recently received The Portrait Society of America's "Certificate of Excellence" in their 2010 International Portrait Competition. Bartlett is a mid-career artist with a loyal and active following. His subject matter and style is diverse and includes whimsical, brightly colored trompe l'oeils, sumptuous floral arrangements, and impressive figurative work. His palette is infused with vibrancy, and his brushwork is confident. Bartlett gives each composition a sense of depth through his use of soft edges and careful attention to textural details. He had a successful solo exhibition with the gallery in 2006, in addition to his participation in numerous group shows with us. We are proud to present this artist and recommend his work without reservation. Prices range from $4,500 to $15,000. |
